Use Government Access To Work Grants To Get ADHD Support

Grants Under the Equalities Act of 2010 businesses are required to make reasonable adjustments for people suffering from all kinds of disabilities, and this includes ADHD as well as any other visible and invisible disabilities. These adjustments can be simple, and come at little to no additional cost, such as allowing for more breaks in return for flexibility in starting and finishing times, better lighting or dividing workload so your employee with ADHD can do more of the things they excel at and not spend time laboriously undertaking tasks they loath.

Use Your Entitlements To Make Work Easier

Other adjustments may come at a cost. For example, your employees need a larger or additional computer monitor in order to be able to better organise their projects and see what’s going on more clearly. If that’s the case then the government has an Access To Work grant which can be used to remunerate you for legitimate business costs you need to make for staff with any disabilities, including ADHD.

As well as using it to buy equipment and tools, the Access to Work grant can also be used to fund training and coaching such as that offered by ADHD Support which will help employees with many aspects of productivity, focus, time-management, moods, and procrastination. Once your ADHD staff are better able to manage and identify their needs, and have the skills they need to overcome the challenges they present, you’ll have happier, more productive staff and a warmer, more welcoming workplace.
